I’ve been dying to write this post, but kept quiet before the election.
The topic is why McCain may have picked Sarah Palin over Joe Lieberman as VP candidate.
Joe was the best sidekick, a respected politician on both sides of the partylines, and the only explanation to having McCain overlook him is that his advisors told him
“John, the Democrats have an African American candidate and Hillary supporters may be angry at him, what we do need is a female” and McCain probably gave in.
I am not saying Sarah Palin doesn’t have a bright future ahead, but at this moment and time picking her was not a great idea.
Sarah Palin is now being blamed, but the blame if any should go to the political machinery choosing statistics over common sense.
What’s meant to be is meant to be, but what the country needs is leaders which make decisions from within their hearts and not within their parties unless both decisions match and make sense.
Anyways, Mr. Obama: I have heard Tina Fey is looking for a new job and I think you owe her a position in your administration.
