I would like some input here and give advice on how to get started with link building.
As we all know, building links helps move up in the search engines. It gains your more keyword rankings, which of course create traffic.
My opinion is that the best way to build links it to go where the traffic is.
You Google sites ranking for keywords you are after and then offer them some money for a banner spot.
Simple.
Sure, if you have a lot of high PR sites, then putting links on those will also help even if they are not topic related.
Generally speaking my strategy is to go ahead and get people traffic right away and in a way which also helps gain credibility in Google.
Then I plug it all over social networks, such as starting Facebook groups and also Mixx, Digg and these.
Then I go onto the site itself and make some changes. Minimal changes, such as including keywords in parts of the site where they are most likely to be counted to the max by Google.
Overall I then just keep on working on the website’s conversion. A lot of new clients already get 400-500 uniques daily and many times thru a little bit of alteration of the site, the existing traffic starts producing 4 times as much income just by me adding a few attractive buttons to the shopping cart.
What I believe in more than anything is getting a quick start traffic and income wise and then only focus on branding.
A banner may not be visited right away, but if your logo and slogan are out there, once the ball starts rolling, it keeps on rolling.
